Hey, my name is Tom Patterson, I was born in Liverpool and I have
studied Computer Science with Software Development at
The University of Liverpool. Since finishing my degree I have gone on to become a Junior Developer at Auger, working as part of a small development team. This has meant I have worked with lots of different technologies, I have become proficient in C# and continued learning Javascript. I have also had experience using Azure services and managing a remote development team.
After finishing university I went on to do some freelance work for a local garage and a tutoring agency, this involved redesigning their websites and modernizing them.
I have always had a passion for computer science and web
development in particular and this is where I have focused most of
my personal projects such as creating a gaming news site. In my
spare time I enjoy photography with a focus graffiti, I am
currently building a web page to display these photos.
I have attended two hackathons during my time at university, in the first we developed the front-end of a website which would help students find friends on campus. During my second hackathon our team managed to win first place we created an interactive video to help students gain employment by teaching them skills.

I created a full stack application for my dissertation, the stack was:
The app was designed to be a search engine so users could browse through films across multiple platforms so they wouldn't have to search them individually. A REST API is used and the information is stored using JSON in the React states.
Front-end repository Back-end repositoryDuring a group project at university, we created a new version of the university timetable app so that students could record their attendance via their phone. This worked by using a users GPS position and checking that it was within a certain radius of the lecture theater, the stack was:
While working as a freelance web developer, I worked with a friend to to complete the redesign of the Academy International's site. This was done using Wordpress and CSS to create a functional site with contact forms for potential students to get in touch.
WebsiteThis page! I created my portfolio using standard HTML, CSS and Javascript, I also used the Bulma framework for parts of the styling. I started creating this page in 2017 and I have continued to update and improve upon it.
RepositoryI created a recipe application using React Native, all the information was stored using JSON. The app allowed users to browse recipes and add ingredient lists to their shopping list.
